Another tough topic. I talked about birds in my Gangly entry, and I’m even more convinced that Inktober would be a great challenge for bird photographers.
I’m writing this while sitting on the toilet, as one does. I’m facing the small wall of art in my toilets. There is a flightless raven on this wall, as it turns out, a photo of a curious bird stepping closer to the large camera it wants to inspect. (Buy the book!)

Now I want to give you a tour of my toilet art wall. The bird photo is by my friend Sébastien, who also has the wonderful habit of sending « happy new year » cards, some of which have ended up in this collection (there’s at least one in each dry room of my apartment). Here’s the 2018 one:

On my wall, you’ll find roller derby cards, such as the « you shall not pass » drawing above the bird photo; motivational cards from Comme un million de papillons noirs, which are extremely cute but also a hilarious encouragement to stare at when having digestive trouble:

Also in this photo, a Van Gogh inspired painting by a dear friend and a beautiful black and white art piece I got at a queer party years ago, as well as a promo postcard for the wonderful Ewilan’s Quest show, which you should watch, by the way.
I’ll end this tour with this brand new addition: this week, I visited the Grenoble art lending library to change the art pieces on my wall, and they were distributing a few postcard-format reproductions of some photographs. These gangster grannies caught my eye!

Nan mais très belle déco de toilette, c’est important !!! 😀 😀
