overinformation cleanup

I have been overwhelmed recently, so I followed some of Tracy’s practices:

  • Removed my RSS Reader from my phone’s home screen (but not from the app menu, for now)
  • Unsubscribed from all large news sources and signed up for their weekly newsletter instead (wherever possible, I will receive the newsletter in my RSS Reader). That’s L’Équipe, Les Jours, Le Monde and Libération − see my previous article on managing news
  • Unsubscribed from a bunch of blogs and many video channels, since I prefer to keep things simple even if it means missing on some cool people’s news and shares

Let’s see where that will bring me.

This is part of a « slower life » thing that I’m trying to work on, and I’ll need to write about it someday – especially the evolution of my relationship to music. I’m creating a simpler living blog tag today to group things like this in the meantime.

Also, two months to go until the end of my language classes, which should bring my daily rhythm down, and that would be nice. I need it!
