checking out friendica

friendica looks cooler every time I hear about it, but the instance list is really not tempting. it supports many ActivityPub features, meaning that it works with groups (Lemmy), feeds (Mastodon, Pixelfed), and events (Mobilizon), among other things. if anyone has an instance to suggest so I can try it out I’d love that!

Notes on the blog redesign

Looks like it’s going pretty well, boosts and favs were pulled from Mastodon and show up just fine.

Next steps:

Figure out how to crosspost to Mastodon as this doesn’t seem to have worked
See if I can easily post from mobile (the WordPress app doesn’t let me select my custom Post Kinds)
Write a post outlining everything I did to make this blog as open and federated as possible!

Now on WordPress

Re-did my entire website in Wordpress. This should be pretty well integrated with the #indieWeb and #ActivityPub, feel free to try it out! I’ll be trying to post there more and share on social media, rather than the other way round. Hope it will work well 🙂
